I take refuge to Allah from the cursed satan, in the name of Allah the most gracious, the most merciful. All praise is due to Allah the Rab (Lord) of all the worlds. Greetings of peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, the Best of all chosen Messengers and Prophets, Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) and to his pure progeny and companions.

• Jewish Shabbat

Jewish shabbat (or the seventh day of the week sanctity - Saturday) has been the 'TRADEMARK' for the Jews who practice Judaism, as well as for the 'Seventh day adventist Church' (a sect of Christianity) and some Messianic Jews and gentiles who also practice the so-called 'Messianic Judaism' religion. Aside from these religions (or let's say religious sects) I mentioned, there are still many other religious sects that rooted from Christianity and Judaism who practice the sanctification of the Jewish Shabbat (Seventh day of the week) or literally 'Saturday'.

• The reason why I made this topic

I have friend who was a Christian who became a Messianic Judaism follower and then happened to be currently with another group which we can be considered them too as another branch of 'Messianic Judaism' (Religious sect that believe the Yeshua bin Miryam Ha Mashiach as the atonement for the salvation of sins and have some Judaism practices such as Jewish festivities & etc.).This new group (I won't mention their sect's name as they claim) where he currently belongs, I was a member of them. When this group was in my hometown, I used to be with them, talk to them and I've encountered some of their teachings and their doctrinal belief and personally, I'm not against it, I followed it and upheld it as TRUE until I fully understand the teachings of Islam and embrace the Islamic Faith.

I was just silent and never try to communicate them (the group) since I started becoming a Muslim until this friend of mine (who is currently with them) started to 'BASH' our dear Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ). I told him, "let's just not talk about it. You currently strongly believe that your new faith (group) has the TRUTH, so be it, just go on your way, and I will just walk my way in Islam" but still, he kept on INSISTING his 'BASELESS CLAIMS' regarding the Prophethood of Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) specially in regards with the Jewish Shabbat.

• MY FRIEND'S BASELESS CLAIM.

Me and my friend chatted on facebook for quite a long time, maybe hours or more. At first it was just a friendly talk about his experience last Shabbat, I appreciated them, the things he told me about his experience and i was just trying to chat to him nicely, until he opened to me the topic insighting me to 'JOIN' them again wanting me to leave ISLAM, for he is totally sure he is on the RIGHT path because of their so called 'Prophecies' being fulfilled in their sights (as they claimed). Personally, there's no problem on my part telling me to join them and discuss with them but the problem is, HE WANT ME TO LEAVE ISLAM and even BASHED the Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) insisting that He was a FALSE PROPHET and offended me as a Muslim. We Muslims dearly love all the Prophets, from Nabi Adam until Prophet Yeshua bin Miryam and Muhammad Mustafa (Peace be upon them all). One can't be called a Muslim without believing the Prophethood of other Prophets who were sent before the time of Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ).

He (my friend) claimed that all the Hebrew Prophets and Patriarchs kept the Shabbat (He means the jewish shabbat - saturday) and ONLY Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) didn't keep the Shabbat among the Prophets. He supported his claim with these biblical passages he gave:

Genesis 2:2-3 "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made" (KJV)

Exodus 20:8 "Remember the Shabbath day and keep it 'Qadosh' (Holy).

But his claim is 'BASELESS' and is just a PRODUCT of His so called 'FANATICISM' about His belief that ONLY His religious group has the MONOPOLY OF TRUTH!

• My response (Rebuttal):

Genesis 2:2-3 Tells us about the 7th day where in God rested from all of his work. We have to BROADEN our comprehension in reading of this passage and there are things we have to remember in dealing with this passage regarding the Shabbat. First of all, the story tells about the CREATION TIME / PERIOD which took PLACE before the TIME the 10 Commandments that was written on tablets were sent to Moses! It was from that same tablet of commandments where we can find that Shabbat must be 'QADOSH' / Sanctified by the ISRAELITES throughout their generations, and we can't FIND any biblical record after CREATION that proves that the Patriarchs and the Prophets before the time of Prophet Moses (peace be all of them) kept the 7th day Jewish Saturday Shabbat! This is a FACT!

Exodus 20:8 "Remember the shabbath day and keep it Qadosh. Remember, this commandment is with the SO-CALLED '10 commandments' given by Allah ta'ala to Nabi Moses on Mount Sinai after he led the Israelites for an exodus from Mitsraim (Egypt). Also remember, the ISRAELITES were SLAVES in EGYPT starting after the DEATH of Joseph son of Jacob who was a governor of Egypt until Moses was sent by Allah ta'ala to FREE them (Israelites) to worship Allah ta'ala in the desert. The Israelites never find REST since they became SLAVES so Allahu ta'ala GAVE them the SHABBATH as a SIGN of covenant (according to Ezekiel 20:12) between them (Israelites) and Allahu ta'ala so that the children of Israel will always remember every Shabbath that their ancestors became SLAVES of Egypt for long period of time and then freed by Allahu ta'ala through Moses.

Therefore I asked my friend this QUESTION in return to his claims:

Where does in the SCRIPTURES (TANAKH) and in the New Testament record wherein we can read and find about ABRAHAM KEEPING THE 7TH DAY JEWISH SHABBATH? Since you claimed that Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) is a false prophet because he didn't keep the Shabbat (Jewish Shabbath - Saturday), then show me biblical evidence(s) wherein we can read that the Prophets before Moses were keepers of the 7th day Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) too? Show me Biblical references that show about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and the rest of Prophets before the time of Moses including his Father in-law 'Jethro' who was a Priest of the Most High in Midian (Peace upon them all) that they were keepers of the Jewish 7th day Shabbat?

Honestly, NOWHERE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT we can FIND ABRAHAM kept the 7th day Jewish Shabbat nor was He COMMANDED by Allahu ta'ala to rest every seventh day of the week (particularly Saturday). Therefore, concluding directly that Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) is a false PROPHET just because he didn't keep the 7th day Jewish Saturday Shabbat is a BASELESS CLAIM! It is AS IF CLAIMING ABRAHAM was a FALSE Prophet too as well as the Prophets before Moses (who were given by Most High the 10 commandments including the sanctification of the 7th day shabbath) were also false Prophets because we can't find any written DOCUMENTS within the Bible or outside the Bible that tells about all of these Prophets were keepers of the 7th day Jewish Saturday Shabbat.

Unless my friend can give me any biblical record that proves that the LEGIT Prophets of Allahu ta'ala were 7th day Jewish Saturday Shabbat keepers (All of them, including Abraham, Isaac, Jacob & etc.), I reject his claim that Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) is a False Prophet. He has to accept the FACT that there were MANY PROPHETS who were not Jewish and never commanded by Allahu ta'ala to keep the Jewish Shabbath. Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) is the SEAL and FINAL Prophet and there'll be no more legit Prophets to come after him. Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) CONFIRMED the Message of the TORAH and the Injeel of Iesa ibn Miryam (Yeshua Ha Mashiach) that there is an ilah (deity) that is TRUE and LIVING and He is the Most High Allah the Supreme, the Judge! Nabi Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ) FREED the IDOLATROUS Makkans from IDOLATRY without even a SINGLE BLOODSHED therein after centuries of idolatrous culture! So, is there any other man who has the power to change the condition of a supreme idolatrous nation without the blessings and help and guidance of Allahu ta'ala?

AGAIN, PLEASE SHOW ME BIBLICAL PROOF THAT Abraham and the other Prophets before the time of Moses were Jewish Shabbat keepers!
